Once  your point cloud is imported, the points will appear in the various Archicad windows.

You can speed up your work or go more precise; the BIMmTool Model View Options help you manage how the point clouds display in different design situations in Archicad.

Go to Document > Model View > Model View Options.

BIMmTool Point Clouds Options

You can control the appearance of the point cloud in the specific Archicad windows on this page.

Note:
The point cloud is always displayed in the BIMmNavigator with the maximum resolution.

Activate the visibility of the point cloud independently in 3D, 2D (floor plan), and in the Section / Elevation windows. Use the four dropdown menus to manage the density of the points in the corresponding views.

Attention:
The higher the percentage, the longer it takes Archicad to display the point cloud. It is best to show the point cloud only for model checking or comparison purposes.

You can specify a dedicated resolution for the Archicad comparative camera view that you launch when switching on Show in 3D in the BIMmNavigator.

Check the Override floorplan Display range checkbox to manage point cloud display independently from the usual Archicad settings.

BIMmTool Point Clouds Options / Laser Scanner Options

Change the 3D representation of the scanner positions in the Archicad 3D window. This setting is solely for aesthetic purposes and does not affect the work. You can assign a 3D outline pen to the scan positions.

Tick the Simple 3D checkbox to display the scan positions in a simplified way. It is possible to customize the sphere radius and its 3D surface material.

Visualize the elevation of the scanner positions in the floor plan view using a range of colored pens. A scan position at -2 m elevation will have the color of the first Pen (80), and a Position at 10 m height will have the color of the last Pen (60). Intermediate Positions will take colors according to the interpolation between ID 60 and 80.
