6.01 Connecting BIMm Jobs to Archicad

Orthophotos and delta analyses of the project are saved in the Orthophotos subfolder in the actual project's BIMmTool Data folder by default.

The BIMmTool Connect function ensures the efficient organization and placement of orthophotos and delta analyses in Archicad.


image.png Select the Connect command from the BIMmTool Palette.
The Connect dialog offers various settings and options. You can select which jobs, where, and on which layer you wish to import.

The BIMm folder is the project's Orthophoto folder. You can modify its path by clicking on the folder icon.

Include

By activating the individual BIMm jobs, you can then import them into Archicad.

BIMmJob

Click the arrow in the header of the BIMm job column to change the display order of the entries.

Target Type

The Target type column allows selecting the project view you place the given job. Choose from the following existing views:

  • Story,
  • Section,
  • Elevation,
  • Interior elevation,
  • Layout,
  • Worksheet,

or create a dedicated

  • Section,
  • Elevation, or
  • Worksheet.

Target Name

The Target Name column displays the selection of the individual project views. Depending on the selection Target Type, you can select from floor plans, sections, etc.

New layer or existing layer

Jobs with the toggle "Layer+" switched on will create a new layer with the BIMm Job name.

Note:

If you want to use an existing layer, switch off the toggle and select an entry from the current layer list.

Select all / Deselect all 


With Select all, you can activate all BIMm jobs at once and then apply your settings. With Deselect all, you cancel the selection.

Refresh


With Refresh, you launch the processing of the selected BIMm jobs. Confirm the creation of sections, elevations, or worksheets if needed, and place or update the desired orthophotos and delta analyses.

Close


Hit Close to close the dialog.
